Monica El-Seroui
Grazl, Austria
Normally, I like to do abstracts, so slightly figurative from time to time. Also slightly abstracted landscapes are one of my favorites. In between there are a lot of drawings done whether very realistic or purely abstract.
Usually my canvasses are primed with white gesso. To get the best results I usually put several layers onto the canvas. The first acrylic layer is usually of one colour depending how my intention is laid out. After that, several different colours are used for the other layers. So there are at least between five or more than ten layers of acrylic paint. With this method I ensure that colours are intense.
