Sula Chance
Waterlooville, Hants, United Kingdom
Vibrancy of colour is always in my mind when I select subjects and the means of their execution. I always paint on primed cotton canvas, lately preferring box canvases for the better feel. I select the paints best suited for the subjects according to their eye appeal. Of late the selections are
made largely from the Liquitex Concentrates and Daler Rowney Cryla heavy body ranges. My medium of choice is water because I like to work freely and quickly, but I use gel on occasion for the different finish it gives.
My animal paintings are exclusively brushworks, but with abstracts I experiment with a variety of appliances, including rubber and plastics!
