Derek Turner
Weybridge, Surrey, United Kingdom
I create an emotional response to people and places on canvas, board and paper, these grounds I prime with white acrylic primer, then give this an overall colour to kill the white. Water is mixed with the paint, making it thick or very thin depending on the consistency needed to produce the effect I want. Sometimes I use retard gel, coal tar gel or varnish, to create the impression I seek.
