Mythology, folklore and fairy tales are the main themes in my paintings. I work on canvas which has been primed with white paint.
I use acrylic because I prefer a fast drying medium that is easy to mix. The versatility of acrylic has allowed me to develop a wash and layering technique. This produces deep, intense colour with underlying texture and marks from the previous layer.
Over time I have learned how the colours react to each other when layered and how to give greater depth to an image with washes of colour.
